Through her comprehensive college planning program, Mary has guided hundreds of high school students through successful college searches. This full-service consulting relationship typically starts in the sophomore or junior year, and continues through the final stages of college selection.
However, each year, Mary receives calls and inquiries from parents of rising seniors concerned about the application process and anxious to have some support for their students in the summer.
In 2025, Mary created a "mini-advising" program in response to this need.
Motivated students are wise to complete much of their application work in the summer. With this program, they can dive in as soon as junior year winds down and have Mary's advice and support at key points over the summer as they work on their applications.

How does this program work?
Four sessions are scheduled at appropriate intervals, tailored to each student's unique goals and situation. Students work on specific tasks between meetings and submit work to Mary before the next Zoom meeting, creating an efficient structure to maximize the summer months.
The initial session, one hour long, should include one or both parents/guardians.
She will review the students' academic profiles and current college lists and suggest ideas for balancing them. She will also discuss visit planning, researching colleges, demonstrating interest, and application strategies, and address any questions from parents and students.
The three subsequent meetings are 30-minute Zoom sessions with the student and Mary. She will guide them through specific app steps and assign deadlines to complete particular tasks, including:
*Regarding the essay, this program is not structured to provide ongoing essay coaching. We are happy to recommend an essay professional if needed.
Summer Application Package Fee (4 sessions described above): $500.
(Packages can be renewed; however all Summer Package work with Mary must be completed by the end of September.)
